The rails go where the merchants already are.
Distribution is the whole game. Rather than building new hardware or onboarding stores one by one, Mainstreet integrates with the point-of-sale lines and payment processors merchants already use — then reaches their installed bases through a single integration.
Note: the companies named on this page are integration targets, not partners. No agreement, endorsement, or commercial relationship exists with any of them.
Point-of-sale lines
Toast
Phase 2Segment:Restaurants
Large installed base across US restaurants; a single integration puts Solana at the counter and the drive-through.
Square
Phase 2Segment:SMB retail & services
The default countertop register for small merchants; strong fit for the first cohort of crypto-curious sellers.
Clover (Fiserv)
Phase 2–3Segment:SMB & mid-market
Distributed through banks and ISOs, which extends reach without a field sales operation.
Lightspeed
Phase 3Segment:Retail & hospitality
Established in independent retail and hospitality, with an API program suited to a rail SDK.
NCR Voyix
Phase 3Segment:Enterprise retail & QSR
Deep penetration in large-format retail; a long certification, but a durable position once inside.
Shopify POS
Phase 3Segment:Omnichannel
Bridges the physical and online fronts — one relationship covers the register and the store checkout.
Payment processors
Stripe
Phase 2E-commerce first, growing in-person via Terminal; the fastest path for the online integration stack.
Adyen
Phase 3Single-platform processor for enterprise merchants; one integration reaches global retail volume.
Fiserv
Phase 3Owns Clover and a vast merchant-acquiring network; the distribution heavyweight.
Global Payments
Phase 3Large issuer and merchant services footprint across North America and internationally.
Worldpay
Phase 3High-volume acquiring across retail and e-commerce; a natural scale partner once the rail is proven.
Integration timeline
Now
Phase 1 · Build
Build the Solana rail SDK and gateway backend. Certification-ready documentation, idempotent request handling, and observability come before any partner conversation reaches a contract.
Next
Phase 2 · First integration
Sign and integrate a first popular POS line and launch the e-commerce stack. Comparable card-network certifications run roughly eight months from kickoff to certification, so this phase is measured in quarters, not weeks.
Then
Phase 3 · Scale
Expand across additional POS lines and processors. Each completed certification shortens the next one, and every new partner opens another installed merchant base to the same gateway.
Processor and POS certifications are slow by nature — business development, signed agreements, security review, and certification. That pace is a barrier before launch and a defense after it.
Work at a POS company or processor?
If your machines or your merchant network should accept Solana payments, we want to talk. Reach the partnerships team directly or send the details through the contact form.
